I finally figured out how to make the flatbread pizza taste like it just has arrived from Italy – the secret lies in replacing mozarella cheese with bocconcini cheese. Below is the easy recipe that will get you amazing authentic-tasting pizza in 10 minutes:
Ingridients
- flatbread (I used Greek pita bread)
- tomato sauce for pasta (I used basic tomato one but you may want to go with marinara or chunkier sauce)
- small tomatoes (I used two), sliced
- boccocini slices (I used 4 but it depends on the size of your flatbread)
- italian spices
- Olive oil
- Fresh basil
Method
- Put foil on the pizza form, wipe it with olive oil
- Put pita bread on it, dab a little bit in olive oil
- Spread tomato sauce on top of the flatbread (I used 1-2 spoons)
- Arrange tomato slices and boccocini slices on top
- Add some Italian spices
- Put in the oven for 5 min under 400F
- Broil on low for 3 minutes
- Remove from the oven, add basil leafs on top, let stand for 2 minutes
- Enjoy!
yumm!
