Easy salad with veggies and calamari

So I decided to start this year with healthy eating (and cooking) and I found this recipe in a magazine. I personally do not like salads but this one feels like a firework of different tastes in your mouth plus it is very healhy and low on calories.

Time:15 min

Ingridients:

  • Salad leafs (any kind will do)
  • Fresh tomatoes
  • Calamari rings (I used frozen ones)
  • Olive oil
  • Spices (I used Italian, Basil, Paprika)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olives (optional)
  • Basil leafs (they are optional but they make a difference)
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Minced garlic (optional)

Instructions:

  • Boil calamari rings (if frozen) for 3 minutes then transfer to a frying pan and fry in olive oil, add minced garlic (1 spoon), salt, pepper and spices. Fry until they get golden colour on the sides
  • Toss salad leafs, add basil leafs and sliced tomatoes
  • Add grilled calamari into the salad and sprinkle with balsamic vinegar
