Weekend Meal: Mushroom Penne Pasta

This is something that can be done under 30 minutes and tastes amazing! It is a penne pasta with portobello mushrooms and bacon in tomato four cheese sauce sprinkled with mozzarella cheese. You can switch it up, add more ingredients or change the kind of sauce you want to use, but this specific combination has been tested and approved by my husband (and he doesn’t like just any pasta):)

Ingredients:

-4-5 strips of bacon
-pack of penne pasta
-Spices: Italian, red pepper flakes, black ground pepper
-1/3 cup of wine
-1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese (shredded)

-salt
-olive oil
-portobello mushrooms (I used five)
-four cheese tomato sauce (store bought)

Takes about 30 minutes; makes 4 portions

Instructions:

1. Add water into a large saucepan, put on high until the water starts boiling
2. Meanwhile, put an empty frying pan on medium to start heating
3. When the water starts boiling, add salt and throw penne pasta in the water. Follow package instructions (mine said 10 minutes)

4. Cut bacon in small pieces, add olive oil into empty frying pan and throw bacon to start frying
5. Clean portobello mushrooms. After washing them, remove the black part under the hat with a spoon, rinse mushrooms again. Cut into small pieces and add to the frying pan with bacon.

6. As bacon and mushrooms fry, steer them to ensure they fry from both sides, add Italian spices, red pepper flakes
7. Add tomato sauce and wine into the frying pan, steer
8. When penne pasta is ready, simply remove it from the saucepan into frying pan with spaghetti server/fork. Steer it all together
9. Add black ground pepper and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese when the pasta is in the plates
10. Enjoy☺️
